Whether you attended Franklin Township Elementary as a student, sent your children there, or simply have fond memories of the Township and school, join us on August 3rd for a walk down memory lane!
Starting at 12:00pm, chicken BBQ will be served by donation as a fundraiser for Hoy Acres School. All the township buildings will be open for tour including the restored Moreland Church of God, the Hughes-Gilmor Log Cabin, and the old Township House which is now a museum adjacent to the Moreland United Methodist Church parking lot.
Eight decades of Franklin Township School memorabilia will be on display in the Church of God, along with pictures available for you to take home and several nostalgic items to bid on in a silent auction.
The Willing Hearts school which now resides in the old Franklin School building, will be open for tours from 12:00-2:00pm. Triway High School Marching band will perform at 1:00pm in the parking lot of the Methodist Church, and local musician John Schmid will perform starting at 4:00pm.
Parking will be available at the new Township Building, located at 132 West Moreland Rd. Shuttles will be available to cross St. Rt. 83 to the Methodist Church parking lot, where all of the outdoor activities will be taking place. Handicapped parking will be available at both the Church of God and the Methodist Church.
